How to prepare for your session:

To fully benefit from this meditative experience, follow these simple steps for an optimal setup:

SET AN INTENTION:

Before beginning, take a moment to create an intention. This can be a self-defeating pattern or habit you wish to be freed from, or something you want to create or manifest for yourself. Allow this intention to be spontaneous—it doesn't need to be planned ahead of time. Simply notice what arises in your field of awareness. If you miss hearing the cue to set an intention, trust that Yoga Nidra is already doing the work on a deeper level.

FIND A COMFORTABLE SPOT:

Yoga Nidra is traditionally practiced lying down but can also be done while seated in a supportive chair. Choose whichever position allows your body to feel most at ease.

CREATE A QUIET ENVIRONMENT:

Select a space where you can minimize external noise and distractions as much as possible. Silence or calming background sounds help deepen the experience.

ADJUST THE LIGHTING:

Dim the lights, close curtains, or use an eye pillow to gently block light and enhance relaxation.

STAY WARM:

Body temperature naturally drops during deeper phases of meditation. Have a blanket nearby or cover yourself to stay cozy.

MINIMAL MOVEMENT:

Remaining still helps the body settle and supports the quieting of your internal systems. Movement can disrupt this process, so aim to stay as relaxed as possible.

RELEASE WANDERING THOUGHTS:

It’s natural for your mind to wander. Simply notice when it happens and gently return your attention to the sound of my voice without engaging further in thoughts.

TRUST THE PRACTICE:

Yoga Nidra is often referred to as an ancient form of hypnosis. Like any practice, it becomes easier with time. The more you listen, the more receptive your body and mind will become to relaxation and transformation.

Enjoy this journey inward, allowing the sound vibrations and guided meditation to support your deepest rest and renewal.
